Microwave extraction device
Turning 'Mottainai!' into a product: 'Extracting fragrance from plant materials'
This product was created from the desire to make effective use of the "yuzu pressing residue from Kochi," which is being disposed of in large quantities. It uses microwaves, commonly used in microwave ovens, to irradiate plant materials, vaporizing and collecting the moisture and aromatic components contained within the plants. By reducing pressure, the impact of heat is minimized, allowing for the extraction of aromatic components with a strong sense of freshness. No solvents such as water are required during the extraction process, and the residual material can be reused. This food machinery is also suitable for low-temperature concentration of juice and paste, as well as the production of distilled spirits.
